Lalitha Sahasranaama

Chanted at the Temple every Friday at 7:30 PM followed by Mahishaasura Mardhini Stotram

Om Sindooraruna Vigrahaam....

Sahasranaama is an attempt to describe some of the infinite aspects of the Supreme Being. The Names inspire us to remember God in many ways.

The Lalitha Sahasranaama features in the Brahmaanda Purana. It was recited by Sage Hayagriva (an incarnation of Lord Vishnu) to Sage Agastya and describes the glories of Devi Lalitha. All the thousand names describing Devi Lalitha are unique - i.e. there is no repetition of any name.

Regular chanting of the Sahasranaama confers material and spiritual prosperity and much more. Devotees are invited to join in chanting the Lalitha Sahasranaama at the Temple every Friday.
